About Us: The School
Central Street is a stunning cookery school launched in 2012 in the Old Street area of London EC1. We are a fantastic learning facility within the recently renovated St Luke’s Community Centre. As well as providing with our own cookery classes, we offer corporate cookery as team building events, we can host parties or cooking classes simply for fun and to learn new skills. Our cookery school can also be privately hired and used for filming, product launches, new product and recipe development and for others to run their own events and cooking activities.
We are a community based cookery school and the income from private hire and events helps fund cookery projects for our local community.
In 2013 we were double awarded as the best community focused cookery school in Britain

St Luke’s Trust is a very old and well established charity. In fact it dates back hundreds of years. We serve the community of the ancient parish of St Luke, Old Street. This now comprises the London Borough of Islington’s Bunhill ward, small pockets of Hackney and Clerkenwell and the Golden Lane Estate in the City of London.
Our charitable aim is to improve the living conditions of residents of our area of benefit. We believe that St Luke’s role as a community anchor for the area helps break down barriers within the neighbourhood. The Cookery School will become an important and valuable tool in helping to address some of the needs of our local community.
