Back to school! That is, cooking school…

September is almost upon us (although it doesn’t feel like it in this August heatwave)! Some of you may not be looking forward to going back to work or school, but Central Street Cookery School have got some fantastic classes starting back up in September to make it that bit more bearable.

Our ‘Ready, Steady, Let’s Cook’ classes for local adults begin again on Wednesday 14th September, from 11am-1pm. Come along and cook up a delicious lunch from surprise ingredients, learning some new skills and meeting new people at the same time.

Or why not bring your kids along and cook together? Family Cook and Eat is after school on a Wednesday, 4pm-6pm, starting on Wednesday 14th. Learn some new recipes and take home whatever you make. Only 50p per person! Advance booking is essential- fill in a form at St Luke’s Community Centre reception, or give them a ring on 020 7549 8181.

Our monthly cookery club returns on Wednesday 21st September. This is a great opportunity to pick up some new cooking skills in a relaxed and friendly environment. At £30 for non EC1 residents, we offer one of the most reasonably priced cookery lessons in London! After the class we all sit down together to eat what we have cooked; feel free to bring a bottle of wine to enjoy with it! Book online or through reception.

We’re really excited to be offering another EC1 Spanish cookery club this month, on Thursday 22nd. Perfect for Spanish speakers or anyone learning Spanish, this is a chance to brush up on your language skills whilst cooking tasty, Hispanic-inspired dishes. Si usted es hispanoparlante y quiere practicar su ingles, lo invitamos a esta clase de cocina, donde ademas de preparer ricos platillos le ayudaremos a practicar el ingles.

The Men’s Shed cookery class will be on Thursday 29th September. Open to any over 55 men in EC1, the class often cooks with produce grown by the Men’s Shed group, using this to create a delicious lunch. Book through reception.
