Sounds weird? How a party can contribute to the wellbeing of others? Well if you are thinking of having a birthday party, a hen party or if your firm is thinking of doing a team building activity, you can buy one of the cooking packages we have on offer:
Your money will buy you a very nice cookery experience that includes a welcome drink, nibbles, a fantastic class with one of our knowledgeable, experienced, fun and friendly chefs; you get to cook in our amazing kitchen and get to eat and drink afterwards in our dining room or in our secret garden. The revenue we get from your party goes entirely to the cookery school ‘kitty’; a fund that enables us to provide with low cost and free classes to the most disadvantaged in our community. From family cooking classes to families who might not have access to cooking at home, to teaching people how to manage health conditions like Diabetes through diet and by inviting socially isolated and depressed people to cook and eat in a friendly atmosphere; your special event held at our school really makes a lot of sense.
Last year alone your money helped us to deliver:
163 community cookery classes for 7902 people out of which 1629 were children. So it makes sense to hold your special celebration at Central Street Cookery School!
What past hirers thought of their party here:
Wow… thank you so much for a truly wonderful evening on Saturday. Everyone had an absolutely brilliant time! Matt, our chef, and his colleagues were so welcoming and helpful. I cannot thank you enough for all your kindness and for a fantastic time. You have all gone above and beyond… Your staff and cookery school are fantastic! Well done. Hilary Sands, hen party‘
And this is what members of our community think of the classes subsidised by you:
The central street cookery classes are really excellent.
This is not only because we have really fresh garden picked
herbs, and a good variety of other vegetables fish & meat, but we have
brilliant teachers to show us how prepare and cook everything.
Richard Moore, project participant.
They say you shouldn’t trust first impressions, but from the moment I entered the training kitchen I felt confident I was in good hands. All equipment laid out in an orderly manner, all scrupulously clean. What could go wrong? Well, me is what can go wrong because, after suffering a stroke, I can be very dangerous in a kitchen. But Sofia and Laura quickly put me at my ease and made me feel comfortable, tailoring tasks to allow for my disability. Here you get top tips to die for, by real lovers of great food. Billy Mann, project participant.
I would like to say thank you so much for the opportunity for our children to cook at your school. The children really enjoyed the classes and have brought back some of the recipes which are being tried out in the summer play scheme. Today the children have made bread probably enough to feed the whole estate and has been a great experience. Irene Winter, Centre Manager, Hornsey Lane Estate Community Association
So please keep supporting us by hosting your parties at our school and by recommending us to others, here your enjoyment goes towards a very worthy cause! http://centralstreet.org/hen-parties/
